The RideAustin thread

I tried Ride Austin, one of the replacements for Uber/Lyft, and it leaves much to be desired.

(1) On the app, it says to enter a destination to get a fare estimate, but I did enter a destination and it still won't give me an estimate.

(2) Their phone number is nowhere to be found in the app.

(3) I went to their website and called the "Support" number listed there, but just got voicemail saying to leave a message.

(4) I emailed them, and got an auto-reply saying it could take 48 hours for them to get back to me.

I suppose they'll say that they're a non-profit so they can't be expected to have a working app or support staff, but in any event, I'll try Fasten next.

Re: The RideAustin thread

My friend used the Arcade City ride share facebook group during SXSW.  She was very pleased with it and it never crashed.

RideAustin, R.I.P.

Now all we've got left is Uber and Lyft, ugh.

Too bad.  Never used Uber myself, but RideAustin worked as well as Lyft for me.  All ride share apps are having a tough time globally.
