Another view of the collision on 620 last Saturday

This is based on the story reported at http://www.statesman.com/news/news/loca … h-t/nf4Rd/ , which I don't think was reported here, as the cyclist survied (so far ... I haven't heard any news on if he's still in critical condition or what.)

Not sure I understand the reason for not charging the driver who was making the turn.  He didn't say the cyclist was speeding and of course traveling in the should is legal for cyclists.

That's kind of the point of this article -- it's quite clear who's at fault, at least to everybody who actually knows the laws, anyways.  Which, unfortunately, doesn't seem to include the Lakeway police chief.
