Statesman: "Williamson cities trying to be bike-friendly: Cost ..."

I didn't see any posting or discussion of this, so I thought I would post it.  An article about bike lanes in Williamson County.  Officials blame cost and lack of demand for current state of bicycle facilities (sub-par?).  It includes cost estimates ($) for adding wide sidewalks and granite multi-use paths.

COUNTY BIKE LANES: Williamson cities trying to be bike-friendly: Cost has been key factor in keeping accessibility projects from happening, officials say

My favorite quote, "Although city officials in Round Rock said they haven't seen a high demand for more bicycle facilities, the city is working to create more."

I came upon this while searching for a Round Rock Bicycle Map.

Maybe if they had more bike lanes, they'd see a stronger turnout for their annual Outlaw 100 in October.
