This seems convoluted

Any North/NE commuters out there with suggestions on improving this route? It seems a bit complex. I live off Far West, work in Tech Ridge. This route uses city of Austin bike routes. I'm comfortable in traffic, and would love to find a faster/more direct route, but the idea of dodging cap metro buses or huffing their fumes on Lamar or Burnet  doesn't really appeal to me.

Re: This seems convoluted

On the front part, I would stay on Shoal Creek past Anderson and head east on Steck to Ohlen and follow the bike routes to Parkfield from there.   Should cut some time and distance off.
