"Protected" bike lanes now live on Manor from Cherrywood to Airport

A few days ago, the City installed those flexible white poles along the bike lanes on Manor Road between Cherrywood and Airport.

After just a day, there were markings on several of the poles showing numerous hits by motor vehicles.

No surprise -- same as every other installation of those.

And so is there a plan for replacing the ones that are knocked down?  I noticed several missing/in the road on Lake Austin Blvd.  Maybe I should open a 311 ticket...

Imperfect, but I like them a lot better than having nothing there.

Agreed—definitely better than nothing.  To those who object, I'm reminded of the phrase, "Perfect is the enemy of good", otherwise known as the Nirvana Fallacy.
