Examples of bad facilities

Let's have a thread about unquestionably bad facilities (not facilities in which there's some reasonable debate about whether it's good or not).

I'll start off with this one, though it's from a clickbait website which doesn't say where the facility is, or whether it's really true and not a Photoshop effort.

It would be worth comparing those paths to the ones in these illustrations, annotated with references to the results of studies showing how much safer it is safer to ride in the street to begin with.

It's quite possible that the one forcing cyclists to turn before crossing safer than the straight one.

Yeah, what I was trying to do in my initial post was specifically to pre-empt Jack from complaining about off-street facilities in general. Not that it worked.

Sorry I didn't catch the spirit of the post. I'll try and redeem myself. How about a narrow lanes or lanes that go right into parked cars?

Darron, I'd count your earlier examples as bad facilities. I think anyone would. That was kind of my point, to share facilities in which there's pretty unanimous agreement that they're bad. Your earlier examples aren't as forehead-slapping bad as the others, but bad is bad. There are plenty of *missing* facilities, but what's really sad is when a municipality bothers puts one in and they arguably make things even worse.

I just didn't want to go down the rabbit hole of "why would you just not build the last XX yards to connect two bike path?" examples because I'm not sure how much room your hosting service allocates this site!
