That's certainly getting tough. But I wonder whether they ever bothered to suspend his license before resorting to the long prison sentence. Yes, people can drive on suspended licenses, but I wonder if they never even tried.
Also, I wonder whether white offenders would get the same kind of sentence in the rural area where Marin was sentenced.
