Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 9/18 2am 34th Annual Full Moon Cruze

I should have posted this earlier -- the ride is a day away, Saturday night!

t's that time of year again, and the ride you've been waiting for is coming ... the 34th Annual Full Moon Cruze bike ride!

This year, the ride will happen on Saturday night/Sunday morning, September 18th, 2016. Assemble at about 1:30 am at the James D. Pfluger Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and we'll ride out at about 2:15 am to 2:30 am.

If you only make one bicycle ride a year -- this is the one to make! I'm making the event a full month in advance so that people will have time to get ready -- get that costume ready, air up the tires on your freak bike, etc.

http://www.mapmyride.com/us/austin-tx/m … e-50119986 gives the route that is usually taken, though there may be small changes to deal with construction or the like.

The pace is usually whatever you're comfortable with -- some will race, most will take it easy, some will take it really easy.

Note that this is an unsupported ride and you are riding at your own risk. Lights are strongly recommended and required by Texas law.
