Portland vs. Davis Calif. approaches to cycling facilities

A Portland, MAINE, newspaper's bicycling column discusses Davis, CA, and bicycling infrastructure approaches.  Davis was the country's pioneer and still a leader.  http://www.pressherald.com/2016/03/13/l … ld-follow/

John Allen has a lot of information on the early days of Davis' planning:  http://john-s-allen.com/blog/?p=1919  and  http://john-s-allen.com/blog/?p=1927
