Just moved back to East Austin

I used to ride 183/969/71 but doesn't seem wise now. I'm looking for a15 mile-ish route near east 7th /airport that I could get about a 15 mph ride in without many interruptions. Would you know of some that aren't too far a drive to get to. Mostly hate the traffic not the drive itself.
EDIT. That's not very clear, if there's a good ride within 5-10 miles drive that wouldn't have me fighting traffic to get to, I'd love to know where. Thanks in advance.

Would part of this help out?
http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/26738476/  note the parts east of I-35 also Akins H.S. is on the route and that's a place you can drive to and park.

What about the new South Walnut Creek trail?  http://austintexas.gov/sites/default/fi … essed_.pdf  Pick it up at Govalle Park (Airport and Bolm), ride ~5 miles to 183 and Loyola; not sure how far the trail is complete towards Manor yet but total distance will perhaps be 15 miles one way.

Re: Just moved back to East Austin

The Walnut Creek trail is concrete. Not the smoothest, but definitely road bike-able.
