Does Ben Wear own a bicycle?

I am fuming over the opinions embedded in the "news story" about changes to the Chesar Chavez merge onto Lake Austin Blvd.  For example, Ben Wear says no cyclists use the new bike/ped-friendly intersection because Johnson Creek Trail is a better route.  Well for crying out loud:  Johnson Creek is north/south, and that intersection is for people going west.

I seem to recall reading one of his columns years ago, that he said he doesn't have a bike.  Anyone know if that is still true?

He wrote a column at one point about commuting into the statesman with Annick.  But I can't seem to find it online.

If I remember the article correctly, he borrowed a bike and helmet to go along on the commute.

Somebody please show Ben Wear how to load his new bike on the bus... it should be embarrassing to someone at the Statesman that the transportation writer will sit at a bus stop waiting for someone to give him a lift with their pickup instead of using a bus in combination with riding his bike to get home.

That's the "adventure" I want to read about.

If he lives in Mueller and wanted to buy a bike at Academy why would he not go to the one at IH-35 and US 183 instead?
