More collisions: 59yo at 290/WC, 30yo at Manchaca/Slaughter

After all the hype in the news about APD working to make our cyclists safer on Austin streets; the "accidents" keep happening.

The media reported on two yesterday (http://www.kxan.com/dpp/news/local/aust … n-with-car) while the Facebook crowd mentioned two more (they also mentioned the two from the link above) and some friend reported he was right-hooked while travelling on the bike lane on Barton Springs. The driver was in a hurry to get a hamburger but still had the time to yell and insult the victim!

The 59-year-old cyclist has died:  http://www.statesman.com/news/news/crim … -29/nYcHj/

Aug. 2015 post about the driver who hit Colin Camp facing no penalty is here.  Let's always have a new thread for individual cases.

Okeydokey. Just to clarify for future readers, the "30yo at Manchaca/Slaughter" victim mentioned in the title of this thread was Colin Camp.

Re: More collisions: 59yo at 290/WC, 30yo at Manchaca/Slaughter

That was my guess, but I had to guess, because there was no identifying information in the original post, and the link in that post is now dead.  Plus, the original post was about two different cyclists.  So, like I said, let's try to have a unique thread for each case.  Thanks!
