TRAIL OF LIGHTS RIDE 2012
Thursday, December 20

Cyclists young and old are invited to celebrate the return of Austin's Trail of Lights in Zilker Park with a bike ride through the Trail this Thursday, December 20th. 

Cyclists may begin gathering in front of the Zilker Botanical Garden on Barton Springs Rd at 6 pm.  The Trail will open for cyclists to begin riding through at 6:30 before it is opened to the pedestrian public.  The ride will proceed through the Trail to Stratford Drive, at which point you are welcome to continue your ride to other points of interest, or return to your starting point.  There will be no organized ride after the Trail this year, but we hope to bring back a full Jingle Bell Ride in 2014. 

The Trail of Lights Ride is made possible this year through the courtesy of the Runtex Foundation this year.

Bicycle Sport Shop has no role in organizing or supporting this year's ride, but we certainly hope to see you out there. 

We strongly encourage you to decorate your bikes and yourself in honor of the Holiday Season!

Thanks for posting about this!  I took my family, and it was a real treat to be able to ride past the long line of people waiting to walk through.

New to bicycleaustin forums here, but I got a link to this specific forum sent to me a couple of weeks back by a co-worker. So, a group of friends and I also joined up on the 20th. Good times! Thanks for the post owlman. Made me a believer in these forums. So, I signed up. Good thing the weather was much warmer last week...right?
