New google maps feature

I was playing around in google maps looking a for a good route out to McKinney Falls Pkwy, and noticed a nice feature that I guess they have recently added. When looking for a route, you can now select "walk" as an option. Usually, google maps is more geared towards car commuting, but now they have this nice feature that'll show you alternative routes through neighborhoods, instead of congested streets. It will also lead your route through St Eds and the Capitol grounds if they cross your route. Very nice feature I thought I would share.

Also, first post. Been lurking for a few days, thought I'd make my presence known.

Re: New google maps feature

Hopefully it will improve soon, I asked it to walk me a few places and it told me to walk on the highway.  But it is better than the "Avoid highway" button.
