Has anyone got info on these:

Linda Woodman 8/10 MANSLAUGHTER, AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON, court date is 10/5
Joseph Rosales 8/2 FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID, MANSLAUGHTER, AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON, ACCIDENT INVOLVING SBI/DEATH, court date is 9/27
Phillip Luna 8/2 DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 2ND, FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID, court dates are 10/9 and 10/18
Michael Eggenberger 8/9 FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID, court date is 10/11
Roman Turullos-Gonzalez 7/30 FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID, court date is 10/15.

Travis County site refers me to a pay service called idocket.com for more info. Is there any other way to get the decisions in these cases?

Can't you just call the county clerk?

Also, idocket.com says you can do one search per day for free. I was gonna sign up for the paid version, but at $500/year it's kind of pricey.

Haven't tried the county clerk. The free version shows the name and court date but then asks for $$ for info on it.

should be able to go to the courthouse and have the clerk actually pull the case file. There should also be scans of all docs that can be accessed from their public terminal. At least this is true on the civil side.

Indeed, a trip to the courthouse would be good, because the phone route can be frustrating. You'll need to go to the proper clerk for the case...most likely district court clerk. They will hopefully have the status on each case, and if there's a disposition...although usually things are always getting delayed until later dates for something, for instance Linda Woodman is now showing pretrial for 10/26. You should also be able to pull the criminal complaint outlining the charges against them, indictments and if there was a warrant, the information that outlines the basis for it to be signed off by a judge is useful too.

If you want copies, bring cash. But usually the clerks are pretty good about handing you free copies of simple stuff you may request.

I found the original Statesman articles and emailed the reporters asking for follow-up stories. Hopefully they have better access to the records.

Linda Woodman 8/10 MANSLAUGHTER, AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON, court date is 10/5
Killed Dik Van Meerten & injured Sarah Lee Parker, who were walking near Wheatsville. Was on medication and had been told by doctor not to drive. 20 years in prison for manslaughter (the maximum) and 13 years for aggravated assault, served concurrently, and a $20,000 fine. http://kxan.com/2014/09/02/jury-deliber … dly-crash/

Killed a toddler. Convicted of evidence tampering only, other charges dropped. Killed biker Patrick Murphy on 183 access road. Charge dropped, possibly as part of unrelated drug plea. His lawyer said it was because '“My client has maintained all along that he did not know he had hit an individual that night”. Roman Turullos-Gonzalez 7/30 FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID, court date is 10/15.
