Found a bike

I found an adult bike seemingly abandoned in the street in front of my house. I put an ad on bikes and lost and found on Craigslist. I have called the police and are waiting for them to come out. It was in front of my house on Skyview which is off Koenig between Airport and Guadalupe. I found it yesterday. Anyone missing a bike? Any other thoughts as to what to do to get it back to its owner? I just joined this group to post this topic. A bicycling friend told me about this site. I don't know much about bikes.

Re: Found a bike

Thank you for your honesty and effort to track down the owner.  Is it in rideable condition?  Is there a serial number on the bike?  No, it's not mine in any case.

Re: Found a bike

It is in rideable  condition. The police found a serial number. They checked and it has not been reported stolen or lost. They took a description but if no one claims it I can keep it according to APD.
