If you don't do the Facebook thing ...
The moon is has reached it's first quarter phase, which means we've got about one week until the next Full Moon Bike Ride!
This moon is called the Full Snow Moon – since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February's full Moon the Full Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.
Now, being that this is Austin, Texas, snow isn't particularly likely (but then again, neither is rain, but we got a whole bunch of that last month!) but either way, rain, snow or moonshine, we'll be out riding next Tuesday night!
So, Tuesday night, February 7th, 2012... just before midnight ... Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge ... be there! We will ride out at about 12:30 am.
As always, ride at your own risk, having lights on your bike at night is a good idea and it's always prudent to have at least enough equipment to change a flat.
