Kids bike/walk to school event

Hey all! Sun and Ski Sports is hosting an event in March 2012 to encourage kids to walk/bike to school and educate kids on bike safety. If anyone would like to make suggestions on activities, how to teach bike safety in a fun way, or know other organizations that would like to get involved, please email me! We are open to suggestions, and would like some feedback from the community on how to make this an effective and fun event. Also, if you would like to volunteer that would be great also! Thanks a lot everybody!

Re: Kids bike/walk to school event

Have you contacted the Austin Cycling Association (www.austincycling.org - e-mail Sara at staff \at\ austincycling.org) or Bike Texas (www.biketexas.org - you can give them a call at 512-476-RIDE)?  They have a lot of experience with putting on these types of events.  As does Austin Social Cycling (look for them on Facebook), which would likely provide volunteers.
