This is an ultra lightweight frame(4 lbs),but it is uncommon in another way it is
not the least bit stiff, but instead, very flexible. Some have compared it to riding a noodle
or rubber band. This is a link to the sales brochure of the late 70s/early 80s.
Feeling jolted by the road too much? The entire frame is like a one big shock absorber.

It has what looks to me to have nicer aluminum alloy parts, but I didn't see any
big names I recognized from the dinosaur days (no campagnolo, etc).
We are getting ready to move to southern new mexico and I don't expect to be riding it.
As I roughly understand it, it is not suitable for a more racing typing setup, because its
too rubbery/flexible, and that it is not suitable for MX stuff, tho I'm not sure why.
This was my father's (retired prof) for 10+ years and he commuted to school on it.
I believe the frame cost approx $600 when it came out.
The measurement from the center of the cog to the top of the post is 24 1/2 inches,
I've put a photo of it on flickr here:

If not here, where else might I inform the discerning ?collector? ?rubber-bike-rider? ?eccentric?
about this fabulous beast?
I telecommute (so i'm at home a lot) and you can come see it (in lakeway) most anyday after 8am, before 6pm.
thank you.

Is the fork bent? It sort of looks like it's bent slightly, though it's hard to be sure.

I'm pretty sure it isn't and that the slightly rakish angle is a rough attempt at the 2nd pass of
design (this is a 2nd pass at the frame) ,to make things stiffer.
I've tried to align the angle between the two pics in this photo
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5310/569 … 2b31_b.jpg
its close ,and also the difference is noticeable, but pretty sure no curbs run over, nor
run into a bus, etc.
thx so much for asking.
d!
p.s. where is the preview button for a reply?

I used the irfanview program (http://www.irfanview.com) to just rotate. I'm thinking if I could
use photoshop, I'd try to make it look like some lance bike :-)
please come look, because its certainly possible there are micro-fractures or something that
my old eyes cannot see.
thinking also the titanium breaks/tears and doesn't bend, but thats more like just legend.
