You really should read the comments on there, maybe its trolling, but I suspect that the people driving cars in this city actually believe some of that crap. And it scares the hell out of me.

The biggest majority of people in this city do believe that cyclists should not be on arterial or collector streets or state highways. This is where the city and the APD could spend just a little bit of money and do a public education project to inform the general population just what the law says and how it will be enforced. This needs to be done on television and in the daily / weekly newspapers. It should be a priority right now with gas prices so high and the frustration level at a maximum. Like: Hey people gas is high, there are cyclists out their trying to get to work and home slow down and watch out...They need to immerse the entire state in this endeavor.

I forgot, fellow cyclist curb your traffic law violating, go ahead and stop at red lights, be courteous and move over for faster traffic when it is safe to do so. at least do a California stop at stop signs. The resentment that you cause by rude and thoughtless behavior buys you no sympathy in the important political realm of public opinion. I realize this means that you have to slow your very important momentum, I hate to roll from dead stop too and maybe the laws should reflect this aspect of physics and bicycles but at this time they do not. Act like an outlaw and the very uptight "citizens" out there hate you for it as you can see in the comments section of that article posted by Adriel.

I've always heard it called a "Texas rolling stop", that is, that's what I've heard it called everywhere but Texas. :)
Some people in Texas call it a Texas rolling stop too.
