This is a very poor way to donate money for cancer research.   According to their Form 990 for 2008 - filed with the IRS, $447,396 was donated to the organization of which only $227,000 went to the category 'Program Expenses'.

A staggering 49.3% of the monies donated went to Executive compensation, bicycle equipment, food. gas and other support costs as well as fund raising costs. For comparison; 86% of money donated to Susan G Komen Foundation goes to 'Program Expenses' while the American Cancer Society is also a high 80% efficient.
