Selected as Bicycling Magazine's "Cool Ride of the Month" in November of 2007, for the 26th annual Tour de Gruene participants can look forward to a leisurely bike ride through the Texas Hill Country on Saturday morning and a competitive time trial in the afternoon.
Sunday will bring more competitive time trials. And, you can't forget about the free shows at Gruene Hall on both days.
The pros aren't strangers to the event -- Lance Armstrong, fellow Texan and seven-time Tour de France winner is among one of the most famous past participants.
In fact, the Tour de Gruene was the first event he rode after he was diagnosed with cancer in 1996. He rode again and won last year in his self described "2nd Comeback."
