January 2012 brings lots of great news for FrankenBike!  First of all, we are happy to welcome our new partner and 2012 event sponsor, Independence Brewery! WELCOME!
We have a super full event schedule this month: In Austin, we are hosting FrankenBike #78/FrankenBabe #4 on January 28 starting at 10am.  FrankenBabe was started in 2009 by Michelle Moore as our tribute to the lovely ladies of the Austin cycling scene.  Hosted by The Parlor (located 4301 Guadalupe Street in Austin) this event will offer free tune-ups for the ladies by the gentleman of BryCycle plus a "drag race" and many other special treats for everyone to enjoy.  In order to add to the fun, there will be a full schedule of great bands throughout the day including Sailor's Wife, IPD, The Fleshlights and Lucas Cook and the Collection.  This event will also be a collection site benefiting NikiCoverstheCold! FrankenBike was started in June 2005 in Austin, Texas by Chris Gross and is currently run by Chris and Michelle Moore.  Currently, we are striving to add new cities every month.  FrankenBike works in conjunction with area organizations including Bike Texas, The Yellow Bike Project, NikiCoverstheCold.com, The Capital Area Blood and Tissue Center and Social Cycling Austin.  All info can be found in detail at FrankenBike.net.
