Marshall Ln Wall

Does anyone know when and why Marshall Ln was walled?

Yesterday, for the first time, I learnt that behind that wall on Enfield Rd. there was a perfectly usable street. My first impression is it is there to give more privacy to some rich people, but I don't know.

Re: Marshall Ln Wall

Probably to cut down on cut-through traffic, which I suspect the rich have an easier time doing. It's funny...I don't know the history of it...didn't even realize it was there!

Re: Marshall Ln Wall

Hmm, Google Earth satellite imagery from 1995 shows the wall.

But it's not there in COA 1984 aerials.

So, sometime between 1984 and 1995  ;)

You might be able to find something about it in old Council minutes.  I once found notices for the city's abandoning of the section Baylor St between 9th and 10th.  http://g.co/maps/p3trt
