Bicycle Austin forum

This forum’s roots date back to the very first bike email list in Austin, starting in 1994, and it played a part in the getting the segregated bike lanes you see all over town.  Be a part of history and make a post!

Weekly Social Cycling Austin rides (happening every week!)

https://www.facebook.com/groups/socialcyclingaustin/ is a good group to add yourself to to get the most up to date information, but if you don't do the Facebook thing ...

Every single week, rain or shine, warm or cold, these rides happen.  Even if there's no event created on Facebook or something (rare!), people will be there and there will be a ride --

---

Thursday night, 7:30 PM, the Thursday Night Social Ride (TNSR)

WHERE AND WHEN: We meet at Saltillo Plaza (http://tinyurl.com/4yjvum4)
We take off around 8pm.

WHAT: A Thursday night bike ride, ending at a bar.

This is the big one with hundreds of people.

---

Wednesday at noon, the Hump Day Nooner.

This starts at the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge at about 12:15pm each Wednesday.  It leaves at 12:15pm, so get there earlier!

Usually has about 15-30 riders, goes about 15-20 miles.  A bit faster than the TNSR, but they'll slow down if people need them to.

---

There are other rides that don't always happen (and I'm less familiar with), so you'll probably have to check the Facebook group to make sure and get details, but --

Bike Curious -- Sunday nights
Biking Betties -- women only -- Monday nights.
Yoga Ride -- Tuesday nights (I think it's now on hiatus for the winter.)
Heavy Breather -- Wednesday nights (but only sometimes)
Caffiene Cruise -- Saturday mornings
