Boggy Creek Farm Picnic Ride This Sat, April 24

This Saturday is Austin on Two Wheel's Boggy Creek Farm Picnic Tour, the second (formerly third until we rescheduled the Pampered Pedal, http://livingontwowheels.org/pamperpedal.html, to May 1) in our three part social ride series Discover the City on Two Wheels, and we hope you will join us. (The ride is limited to 48 people, and we currently have only 15 spots left. Please register today to secure your spot: http://livingontwowheels.org/boggycreek.html)

This tour will give you an opportunity to explore one of Austin's best organic urban farms followed by a picnic lunch at the farm prepared by local chef Chris Howard.

We'll start at our ride host BoConcept at 430 W 2nd St in the 2nd Street District and take a leisurely ride a few miles to the east to Boggy Creek Farm. You will have a chance to purchase locally grown produce fresh from the field and will be guided on a personal tour of the farm. After the tour, we'll have a meal cooked with ingredients from Boggy Creek Farmand a brief Q&A with the chef on how you can prepare this meal yourself. After lunch, we'll ride back together to BoConcept where we'll have a drawing for gift certificates from Bicycle Sport Shop and BoConcept. Total ride distance approximately 8 miles round trip.

Farm tour, bike valet, ride guides, and your choice of a turkey or vegetarian lunch are included in the ride registration. BYOB.

RIDE PACE:These are social rides so we will be riding at a pleasant social pace and no one will be dropped. Our ride guides will be wearing identifiable shirts and will keep the group together and make sure no one is left behind. This ride is about the simple pleasure of riding with friends, not competition or workouts. If you want to race or get in a workout, we'd suggest you do that before the ride.

About the ride series
These rides are part of the test for a new concept bike store in Austin dedicated to the simple pleasure of riding with friends, not competition or workouts. In addition to these unique rides, we will have some great Dutch bikes and cargo bikes to test ride while you're there. We'll be giving away some gift certificates from cool local business to participants who help us with feedback on this project plus everyone who gives us feedback will be entered into a drawing for an Electra Amsterdam Royal 8 at the end of the series. All rides will leave from our ride host BoConcept, 430 W 2nd St.
