Turnout was kinda lame but I didn't even know when it was 'till the morning of so I wasn't super suprised. There were 8 of us in all, and we rode all over the place. No bad sunburns that I noticed, though there was plenty of exposed skin. The bikers downtown sure got a kick out of us rolling down 6th St. Plenty of people took our photos, but none of us had a camera. The ride was a lot of fun though, and the girl who organized it was badass. I'm gonna try to get a hold of her earlier next year and help get the word out a little wider next time.

Not to sound like a broken record after drpantzo's post, but are there any more naked rides planned for Austin? I've been curious about doing one. It would be my first one.

Ok, well from what I could find, it looks like the next one in Austin will be June 12, 2010. That's a Saturday. After the incredibly hot summer we had last year, by the end of the year I was thinking it would be different to go on a naked ride somewhere. Other than Hippie Hollow and some place called Star Ranch near McDade, I'm not sure of any other places where you could do it legally. Does anyone else ever ride nude somewhere? Know of any good places?

If you want the ride to happen, make it so.
Pick a date, make a flyer, make a route, advertise it (post here, atxbs.com, bikemojo, SocialCyclingATX on Facebook, etc.) and people will likely come.
