Nevada senate mandates jail time for school-zone speeding

The previous penalty for speeding in a school zone was six years.  Now, following the death of a 13-year-old at the hands of a driver going 90mph through a school zone, the max would be ten years, with the *minimum* being one year.

Would apply to school zones, school crossing zones, and pedestrian safety zones.

Passed the NV Senate unanimously (21-0), now goes to the Assembly for approval.
