12 Great Places in Austin for Children to Ride
Thank you to Mathias Ihlenfeld of Woombikes USA, for sharing 12 great places for children to ride bikes in Austin!
1. Mueller Lake ParkHave you visited Mueller on a Sunday morning? Not only is this venue a great family attraction for the Farmers’ Market, it’s the perfect family spot for an afternoon of fun. The man-made lake is ideal for beginning cyclists to try out their skills. The track is perfectly flat and paved from the market to the playground. If your child isn’t interested in riding that day, no worries! Head over to the fantastic playscape or visit the Thinkery, Austin’s children’s museum. 4550 Mueller Blvd, Austin.
2. Butler ParkNot only does this venue offer a stunning view of downtown Austin, it is prime real estate for beginner bike riders. Butler offers paved spaced perfection for riding, mainly flat riding spaces, but also some minimal hills for the more advanced learner. After your workout, enjoy an excursion in the great splash pad the park has to offer. 1000 Barton Springs Rd, Austin.
3. Boardwalk Trail at Lady Bird LakeThe Boardwalk is a great way to see the beautiful Austin skyline as well as learn fun nature facts on the way. This is a great attraction for the whole family!.....
