Here's a good symptom of our problem: A Travis County judge was arrested for DWI recently.
(1) If we can't count on JUDGES to not drink and drive, how can we expect the general population to not do so?
(2) Judges are the ones deciding the penalties, if any, for drunk drivers, including drunk drivers who injure and kill cyclists. It seems that the judges can identify more with the criminals than the victims.

Lifetime lose of driver's license is in order. They should be held to a higher standard.
Pathetic.
