It's official: Austin has some of the worst drivers in the country

Austin ranked a dismal 159 out of 200 cities for driver safety, based on the collision rate.

Another reason why we're not a true bike-friendly city.

Yet again, it doesn't matter how many miles of bike-lane paint we put on the roads:  as long as yahoos are driving, Austin will never be safe.
