NOKOA-The Observer, one of Austin's two newspapers serving the African-American community (and free at various locations such as HEB), this week has a front-page article profiling Dr. Veon McReynolds.

Dr. Veon McReynolds is a bicycle-riding machine. The bicycle is McReynolds' primary mode of transportation and his passion for keeping people healthy and active. McReynolds, an all-around athlete, is on a bicycle tour from Houston, Texas to Cleveland, Ohio, a distance of 1300 miles that he expects to cover in twelve days.
Last year McReynolds rode his bike from Houston to Akron, Ohio in 13 days. The 62-year-old retired college professor is on a mission to prove to people that the main hindrance to good health is a poor diet and lack of exercise. McReynolds is a vegan who hasn't eaten any meat or dairy products for over 40 years...
