As little as 1 year jail for drunk hit-and-run driver who killed 14-yo

A drunk driver in NY state killed a 14-year-old bicyclist and then fled the scene.  His sentence was only 1-3 years of jail.

One wonders how much the penalty would have been had he been sober or stayed on the scene!  One month in jail?

And as I always say, regardless of any fine or jail time, if you kill another road user, I think you should lose your license for life.
