FrankenBike #88 is this Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 10am-4pm at LongHorn Bikes located at 2308 Cesar Chavez in East Austin. Come have fun with all your friends while you buy, sell and trade all your favorite bikes, bike parts and bike accessories.
Last months FrankenBike at Clown Dog Bikes was great! Many thanks to all the folks at Clown Dog and everyone who attended or helped get the word out. Special Thanks go to Austin's Pizza for hooking us up with over 40 pizza's and to Independence Brewing Company for the very nice, ice cold keg of Austin Amber!

Come help FrankenBike celebrate seven years in Austin on Saturday, June 30 from 10am-4pm at FrankenBike #83! Yup! SEVEN YEARS! In honor of this occasion, we are partnering with our friends at Fast Folks Cyclery~ 1105 E 6th Street~ 78702. We will be setting up across the street from Fast Folks Cyclery at Cheer Up Charlie's Bar and Lounge. They have an empty lot just west of their building which is large and partially shaded. See the green lot? That's where we are setting up.
Ride your bike to enjoy day with us and listen to the great lineup of bands on Cheer Up's great outdoor amphitheater where you can sip a cool beverage in the shade while enjoying a snack from one of the neighboring food trailers. The music line up starts at 1230pm and features IPD, Viracochas and DJ Samantha Garrett from Deep Cuts.

April 2012 Austin's FrankenBike #81 is Saturday, April 28 10am-4pm at University Cyclery located at 2901 North Lamar. It's our first time to hold the swap at their shop and the close proximity to Peace Park and Eeyore's Birthday means you won't have to miss either event! "Friends DON'T let Friends Not Ride Bikes to Eeyore's!"
Also, our friends at INDEPENDENCE BREWING COMPANY will be on site providing us adults with an ice cold keg of beer so be sure to bring your ID if you'd like a cold one or two.

March 2012 is another HUGE month for FrankenBike! To get the fun started, FrankenBike will be participating in the Big Texas Independence Day Celebration going on this Saturday, March 3rd from 1pm-3pm at Independence Brewing Company. Come on out to say hi, celebrate the birth of the great state of Texas and enjoy a cold, delicious beverage! Ride yer Bike!
Then on Sunday, March 4th FrankenBike will be in San Antonio at Siclovia helping to promote fun and physical fitness the FrankenBike way! What is Síclovía? "Siclovia is about the residents taking the streets back from cars. It's about being free to do whatever you want. You can bring a bike, bring a skate board, or just bring your running shoes. Back in Austin, be sure to catch Chris and Michelle and their FrankenBike street team that will be participating in all the fun and excitement as SXSW descends upon Austin the week of March 13-18. January 2012 brings lots of great news for FrankenBike! First of all, we are happy to welcome our new partner and 2012 event sponsor, Independence Brewery! WELCOME!
We have a super full event schedule this month: In Austin, we are hosting FrankenBike #78/FrankenBabe #4 on January 28 starting at 10am. FrankenBabe was started in 2009 by Michelle Moore as our tribute to the lovely ladies of the Austin cycling scene. Hosted by The Parlor (located 4301 Guadalupe Street in Austin) this event will offer free tune-ups for the ladies by the gentleman of BryCycle plus a "drag race" and many other special treats for everyone to enjoy. In order to add to the fun, there will be a full schedule of great bands throughout the day including Sailor's Wife, IPD, The Fleshlights and Lucas Cook and the Collection. November 19, 2011 marks the 76th consecutive monthly FrankenBike event held in Austin, Texas. The November Event is extra special as FrankenBike is hosting a benefit for local charity NikiCoverstheCold during the East Austin Studio Tour at Space 12, located 3121 East 12th Street, Austin 78702. The event is from 10am-4ish pm. We are an official donation site and will be taking blankets and warm clothing to donate to this great cause.
In return for the good deeds, we have an AWESOME event planned including LIVE MUSIC and Six local artists. Band Schedule is set as follows: 1pm-150 IPD
