FrankenBike #85 is this Saturday, August 25th from 10am – 4pm at Cycle Progression located at 2153 South Lamar Blvd.   Ride your bike to enjoy your day with us and listen to the great lineup of bands in the back area of Cycle Progression’s huge shaded lot while enjoying all the action of the freestyle jam.  Ride or watch- it’s all up to you.
You can sip a cool beverage provided by Independence Brewing Company (21+) in the shade while enjoying a snack from our delicious onsite food vendors, Austin’s Pizza and Chilantro!  The music line up starts at 1230pm and features The Human Circuit, Barry Whitesnake and IPD! 
If that's not enough to make it a great day consider that we'll also have a half pipe set up as well as a raffle with chances to win a brand new folding bicycle from Austin's own Tern Bicycles plus lot's of other items from several of our sponsors.  Hope to see you there!

Come help FrankenBike celebrate seven years in Austin on Saturday, June 30 from 10am-4pm at FrankenBike #83! Yup! SEVEN YEARS! In honor of this occasion, we are partnering with our friends at Fast Folks Cyclery~ 1105 E 6th Street~ 78702. We will be setting up across the street from Fast Folks Cyclery at Cheer Up Charlie's Bar and Lounge. They have an empty lot just west of their building which is large and partially shaded. See the green lot? That's where we are setting up.
Ride your bike to enjoy day with us and listen to the great lineup of bands on Cheer Up's great outdoor amphitheater where you can sip a cool beverage in the shade while enjoying a snack from one of the neighboring food trailers. The music line up starts at 1230pm and features IPD, Viracochas and DJ Samantha Garrett from Deep Cuts.

March 2012 is another HUGE month for FrankenBike! To get the fun started, FrankenBike will be participating in the Big Texas Independence Day Celebration going on this Saturday, March 3rd from 1pm-3pm at Independence Brewing Company.   Come on out to say hi, celebrate the birth of the great state of Texas and enjoy a cold, delicious beverage!   Ride yer Bike!
Then on Sunday, March 4th FrankenBike will be in San Antonio at Siclovia helping to promote fun and physical fitness the FrankenBike way!  What is Síclovía?  "Siclovia is about the residents taking the streets back from cars. It's about being free to do whatever you want. You can bring a bike, bring a skate board, or just bring your running shoes. We encourage anything that involves physical activity and fun." And that is only the first weekend of the month!   The next Saturday, March 10th from 10am-4pm you can catch San Antonio FrankenBike #22 at Danny Boy's ~ 1537 W Summit Ave, San Antonio, TX 78201.  Come bid Henry Lee Parrilla bon voyage as he takes FrankenBike mobile with him over the next few months throughout his travels across the country.   You can also meet JR Carmona who will be stepping in for Henry in San Antonio.
Back in Austin, be sure to catch Chris and Michelle and their FrankenBike street team that will be participating in all the fun and excitement as SXSW descends upon Austin the week of March 13-18.  Look for them to be sporting cool FrankenBike attire and when you spot them, be sure to hit them up for cool FrankenBike swag, like the new logo decals, when you see them during SXSW! 
In Houston, join Kirby and his pals at Houston FrankenBike #14 on March 17th from 10am-4pm at Boone's Cycles located at 5318 Crawford.

Finally, back to the event that started it all. This month's Austin FrankenBike #80 is Saturday, March 31 10am-4pm at Ozone Bike Department located at 3202 Guadalupe Street.  Just like last year, we're setting up behind Ozone Bike Department. It's shaded. It's perfect. In fact it will be better this year as our good friends, and 2012 FrankenBike Austin Sponsor, Independence Brewing Company will be onsite providing us adults with yep, you guessed right, Adult Refreshments!

November 19, 2011 marks the 76th consecutive monthly FrankenBike event held in Austin, Texas.   The November Event is extra special as FrankenBike is hosting a benefit for local charity NikiCoverstheCold during the East Austin Studio Tour at Space 12, located 3121 East 12th Street, Austin 78702.  The event is from 10am-4ish pm.  We are an official donation site and will be taking blankets and warm clothing to donate to this great cause.
In return for the good deeds, we have an AWESOME event planned including LIVE MUSIC and Six local artists. Band Schedule is set as follows:  1pm-150 IPD
150-215 Finner/Floyd/Minowa
230-330 Lucas Cook and the Collection
345-430 Stephanie Grissett.
In addition to the great live music and the six great artists' exhibits inside the studio, there is also a Books Inside event going on at Space 12.
