BIKE: UT campus Speedway closure

Attention:  All members of the university community

Speedway will permanently close between Jester Circle Drive and MLK Blvd.
beginning the evening of Friday, January 21st for the completion of the
Blanton Museum of Art and Pedestrian Mall.  Beginning Tuesday, January 18th
and continuing through Thursday, January 20th the new traffic light located
at MLK and Brazos Street will be blinking yellow/red to alert the community
that the light will become active.  The light will be fully functional on
Friday, January 21st, at which time Speedway will close at MLK Blvd.  

Those requiring access to Speedway from MLK will need to turn onto Brazos
Street, left on Jester Circle and then right onto Speedway.

The south Speedway  kiosk will remain open for University business until
Speedway at Jester Circle closes this summer 2005.
