BIKE: Cedar Street cuts bike locks

Aha! I was thinking of the Cedar Door. They have a parking lot. If
someone parked their car in the middle of the parking lot, the management
would go find the owner and get them to move it. It would be easier than
towing it and better public relations.
There is a bike rack around the corner from Cedar Street on Lavaca St.
I can see where Cedar Street wouldn't want anything impeding that area.
It's pretty busy around there. There is no room for a bicycle rack directly
in front of the bar, because the sidewalk is narrow and heavily travelled.
It still sucks that they decided to cut the lock. It seems like it would
have taken less effort to go into the bar and find out who parked there and
ask them to move. I don't know how often they deal with that problem, but I
would imagine, if it is often, which it probably is, their patience is worn
thin on the subject.
