Subject: [trails-and-greenways] Cyclists Survey Methodology
Date: Wed, 25 May 2005 10:09:49 -0400

I received a request from a student at Monash University in Dandenong,
Australia who wants to survey commuting cyclists. His message follows. If
anyone has tested this methodology let me know and I'll pass it along.

I am a student at Monash University studying for a Master of Transport. A
project I am currently working on involves attempting to survey cyclists
while they continue riding. The methodology involves using signs with a
small number of questions on them (such as Where are you from/going?) and
requests the cyclist to call back their answers at the survey point.

Are you aware of any surveys that might have tested this methodology? If so
I would really appreciate a link to any information you are aware of that
might assist my project.
Thanks,
