BIKE: Beep-Beep

With the AISD year just about over I thought I'd update you on 
Beep-Beep, the bike group we formed to encourage biking to Lee 
Elementary School in central Austin:

We have a group ride to school every Friday morning...  it started 
small, just a few families, but we've gotten bigger and bigger 
turnouts, with the best today (which happened to be bike to work day... 
free coffee cake, yum).  When the kids see the parade of bikes, they 
want to be part of the action.

And we convinced the principal to order a new bike rack (much needed); 
if it's like most things with AISD, it should arrive any century now.

If you've got a kid in school, you might want to try it at their 
school.  It was fun.  And unlike adults, kids are not constantly 
telling you how it can't be done, it'll never work, etc. etc. etc.
