Bike Folks: (see also following post re: drop in US-built auto sales)
This (three-wheeler) looks very similar to the full-fairing motorcycle with outrigger wheels, featured some time back on this list, the ?eco-cycle??
On a more local, affordable note, check out the variety of Indian-made BAJAJ three-wheelers (truck, surrey, and van), plus a range of new-generation mopeds and mini-motorcycles now being offered at Texas Coffee Traders by sister enterprise Longhorn Scooters:

My favorite is the pint-sized, clean burning, (yellow in stock) Taiwanese 50 cc moped-scooter, at $2,000 if I am not mistaken. Top speed of 35-40, a comfortable 30-35 cruising speed great for your 4th bike or only car?
Risking being flamed, I would suggest that perhaps at least this one vehicle at Longhorn Scooters could blur the line between bikes, electrics, scooters and mopeds. When we see $4.00 per gallon gasoline, we may have to widen our bike lanes to 10-12 feet to accommodate them?, building out our bikeways to 16 feet, or more?

It looks sleek and sexy and all that, and I'd love to take it out for
a test spin, but I have to admit that it looks particularly prone to
tipping in turns.
I love these sorts of ideas, although I'm always reminded how tragic
it is that these options are effectively made impossible here in the
US because of our penchant for insanely huge and fast vehicles
combined with traffic laws.
-Lane, who also isn't quite sure whether he's ready to drop $8-10K on
a single-seater...
