A while back someone suggested that if I wanted more people to see
BicycleAustin as a resource I should promote it every once in a while,
so that's what I'm doing.

About a month ago I completely overhauled BicycleAustin and I waited a
month to see if anyone noticed. Apparently no one did. So here are
the improvements:

* Got rid of the frames
* Installed a new navigation system that takes up less room and is
easier to use.
* Prettied up the colors at the top
* Put all the Recent Additions on the front page in an easier-to-scan
bullet list
* Moved the rest of the non-Austin-specific info to
BicycleUniverse.info (but continued to list it in the menus and site
index on BicycleAustin, which takes you to BicycleUniverse seamlessly)
* And yes, I added ads. I make $27/mo. Ha ha, I'm rich!

One thing that hasn't changed is that even though there are hundreds of
pages of content, you can still get to any page with a maximum of two
clicks. Just click SITE INDEX at the top of any page and then click
the topic of the page you want to go to.

Enough with the administration, let me highlight two pages of content.
The first is a route between Austin and San Antonio. Thanks go to Fred
Meredith and KingLeo who wrote most of the directions. Fred also
recently improved them.

And second, this is the most popular page on BicycleUniverse. It's
about bicycle-related songs. It started as a page with just four or so
songs on it, and over the years I've added a ton of songs as readers
write in to suggest them.

In other news, I'm going back to Vegas for business next week, and I'll
try to ride the monorail again. Last time I got there five minutes
after midnight and it was already closed. I think I still have my
ticket somewhere....
