United Texas Tour Press Conference

Govenor's Press Room (alternate site)

Eddie Owens, Executive Director of the United Texas Tour, would like to
invite you and anybody interested in this blockbuster event to attend the
official announcement of the race.

Speakers will include Kevin Livingston, Bill Stapleton, Robin Stallings,
Senator Robert L Duncan, a representative of the Office of the Govenor, CEO
of United Supermarkets, Board Representative of the Lance Armstrong
Foundation, Chief of Staff of USA Cycling, and Eddie Owens.

The goal of the conference will be to highlight the magnitude of the event,
announce the official race dates and course, and encourage the support of
Texans in assuring the success of this international event.

A large audience has been requested to communicate the historical importance
of bringing a race of this size to the state. United Texas Tour boasts the
largest purse of any cycling event in the US, and has been filed with the
UCI rating of 2.1 assuring the event will draw a peloton of elite
international athletes.

Please attend this confernce if you are able; let us demonstrate to our
leaders that Texas wants more events of this caliber in the future. Show
your support for our colleagues in North Texas who cannot attend.
