Lake Creek is reasonably good (well, a lot better than Anderson Mill). I
assume you would come out at Hymeadow and then turn left to head West on
Lake Creek. That's 3 lanes of fast moving but not terribly heavy
traffic until crossing 183 and then it turns into a neighborhood amble
with a bike lane. However, how much of Pond Springs do you need to ride
in order to get from Hunter's Chase to Hymeadow? I rode Pond Springs
for a little while and hated it. Taking the West side of 183 around the
golf course (http://www.austinbikeroutes.com/article.php?sid=36) is much
more relaxing. McNeil ain't great but you can get off it rather quickly
onto Barrington Way once you cross 183.
