BIKE: Here's a twist: Dude Where's My Front Door?

I have often visited the Sears at Hancock Center, because of the easy
access, and the other shops nearby. Last time I went there, however, was
before Christmas 2003 when I was looking to by a power saw as a gift for my
wife. I was stunned to park my bike outside HEB, and then turn around and
realize that Sears had sealed up the doors facing the supermarket and small
business side of the Center, and was only accepting customers from the
parking lot site facing IH 35, hundreds of feet from the nearest
rack. "Well, Dave, why not shop at Breed's instead?" I can hear you
saying. Of course, that's what I did -- I rode over to Breed's on W 29th
and made my purchase there. I later complained to the City, and am working
on this issue on the Planning Commission, but it would help if I were not
the only one peeved by this experience. Anyone else get this kind of slap
in the face?
Dave
