BIKE: The Most Heinous Menace Out There

I am in violent agreement with Mike on this (silly "I told you so"
aside).  Shoal Creek Blvd. is/was a pristine example of how compromise
and consensus can only benefit the majority.  Bikes will get screwed
for sure.

Re: fast bikes, paved trails, etc. -- am I the only one who has had
the pleasure of biking the Birke-Gilman trail in Seattle?

Re: 4th street -- This is the first I've heard of a commuter rail on
4th.  What is the status of that?  (Frankly, I wasn't even familiar
with any commuter rail plans, but then that's what I get for living
under a rock...)
