Shoal Creek, anyone?
Precedent, anyone?
Remember how unreasonable y'all thought I was being back then for not
wanting to negotiate with neighbors about a critical transportation
infrastructure project?
(change gears)
Why are we wasting time with stupid off-street paths like this, which
are even MORE likely to encounter this kind of numbskullery than are
on-street facilities, and doing it for the central city where conditions
are already fairly good, when, in the year 2004, there are still no bike
lanes of note in northwest Austin?
Anybody want to guess how much time Linda^H^H^H^H^HColly had to spend on
this nonsense?
By the way, for more hoots and hollers: Capital Metro's "subsidize Cedar
Park enough and they just might love us again" commuter rail line is
slated to stop east of the Convention Center. When asked how they plan
on getting people over to Seaholm where the "subsidize Round Rock enough
and Mike Krusee just might love us" line comes in, the answer was:
rebuild rail across downtown on 4th street.
Anybody know of anything else slated to go on 4th street downtown? Anybody?
