BIKE: pie on earth [just not here]

Bike folks:

Sweden, Holland, Chicago (rated best by Bicycling Magazine)...,

-just not here-...

Maybe Lance could bring back to Austin some of the caddilac bike-lanes,
sleeping policeman, and perhaps traffic circles that you see flash past as
helicopter cameras chase Tour de France peleton and lead riders.

The bike lanes you see seem actually integrated into the roadway, not
squeezed in when possible.

I hope that #6 might move things forward, elevating bike facilities from
where feasable, -over there somewhere-; toward a comprehensive network,
and no-brainers such as South Congress, Speedway through UT, Red River
(rather than Trinity/San Jacinto), Rails-with-Trails, etc., etc.

If Lance Armstrongs 6th Tour de France victory can do anything, it should
help all of us imagine, detail, organize and justify a bike-friendly
Austin.

Thanks! Lance!
