That's sort of the point. Boca is close to Ft. Lauderdale (as close as
Austin is to Cedar Park) and just as different. Where you live
determines how you'll be able to travel, and Dennis chose poorly.
Both West Palm and Ft. Lauderdale have been densifying their downtowns.
Ft. Lauderdale more residential, West Palm started with more of a retail
focus (serving as the bane of my existence as people kept bringing them
up as a reason why we should convert our own downtown to 2-way streets -
it's great for window shopping but horrible for pedestrians and cyclists).
