BIKE: Austin Bicycle Plan; fast and slow shared lanes?

Can anyone report on the status of the Austin Bicycle Plan? How many 
years will it take to  implement at the current funding level, etc?

Also what is the documented safety impact of TxDOT's contribution to 
bicycle safety -- wider outer lanes on freeways and tollways?

Does any documentation exist on fast cars and slow bikes sharing the 
same unmarked lane?  -- Roger
