I understand what you are saying.
You assert that one must come to a complete stop, with your feet down, at
every intersection with a stop sign or red light, until such time as one
feels safe to pass through a two-way stop, one has the right-of-way at a
four-way stop, or the light turns green.
I assert that one can assess any intersection, that has sufficient sight
distance, without coming to a complete stop.
There is also the assertion that not coming to a complete stop is
politically detrimental to cycling and cyclists. I firmly disbelieve that
conditions for cycling would improve in the slightest if all cyclists rode
according to the letter of the law.
For the record, I use a pick-up truck, motorcycle, mountain bike, and bmx
bike as means of transportation.
