Weird things found on the side of the road

One of my favorite things about cycling/walking to get places is that I get to find all kinds of strange things on the side of the road.  I never have to buy bungee cords because those are very easy to find.  Most stuff is just garbage, but I have found some cool stuff too like a coyote skull.  Yesterday I saw the craziest thing yet, for me.  Along a wormhole path between neighborhoods I found a model of a Napoleonic era naval wooden gun carriage.  It looks to be about 1/3 or 1/4 scale.  I did a quick search for the barrel, and will do a more thorough search on the ride home today.

Oh, I see we already have 3 deaths on the road so far and we are only 4 1/2 days into the year.  Go Austin!

I run across stuff, also.  Roadkill, damaged street signs I will see frequently.
I report them using the 311 app and have had good response.  I use the photo feature.
